MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a task of increasing the share of domestic pharmaceuticals on the market and strengthening independence from foreign suppliers.
"It is important for us to increase the output of Russian substances, move up the share of domestic pharmaceuticals on the internal market, including the regional one, and strengthen independence from foreign suppliers, especially from those suppliers that create many difficulties for us," the head of state said on Thursday via a video link at the opening ceremony of new pharmaceutical production facilities.
To achieve that, equipment should be upgraded, new production facilities should be built, and technologies should be enhanced, the President said. Putin also urged to improve training of industry specialists. "The state on its part will certainly continue developing mechanisms of industry support," the Russian leader added.
