Three-four prospective buyers vying for IKEA assets – governor

Foreign companies in the region mainly continue to work, said the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov

ST. PETERSBURG, June 19. /TASS/. Three-four companies vie for purchasing IKEA assets in Russia, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov told TASS in an interview at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"Foreign companies in the regional predominantly continue working. However, IKEA announced the departure on the verge of the Forum and, as we see, there are 3-4 buyers already for their assets," the Governor said.

IKEA announced the suspension of their business processes in Russia and Belarus on March 3. It became known that IKEA will sell four factories in Russia and keep pause for their retail business.
