MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The price of gas in Europe during trading on the stock exchange on Tuesday rose above $1,300 per 1,000 cubic meters for the first time since March 24, according to London’s ICE.
The April futures price at the TTF hub in the Netherlands rose to $1,306 per 1,000 cubic meters or 114.8 euro per MWh.
The price of gas has been growing by 12% since the start of trading.
The price of gas moved to active growth on March 23, after the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin about Russia's decision to transfer payment for gas supplies for export to unfriendly countries into rubles. The president instructed the government to issue a corresponding directive to Gazprom on amending existing contracts. The Finance Ministry and the Bank of Russia must determine the procedure for purchasing rubles on the domestic market by buyers of Russian gas.
At the same time, on March 7, the price of gas in Europe for the first time reached almost $3,900 per 1,000 cubic meters.
