US’ readiness to greenlight investments in Russia hardly in evidence so far, says Kremlin

MOSCOW, July 1. /TASS/. The US’ readiness to greenlight investments in Russia by the country’s businessmen is hardly in evidence so far, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Channel One.

"There is hardly any evidence of the American side’s readiness to leave business alone. The Americans indeed do not want to greenlight their businessmen entering the Russian market, investing funds," he said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly demonstrated to the world that he is a strong supporter of pragmatism in establishing the relationship with all countries, including the US, Peskov noted. "President Putin is realistic in his approach, meaning that he absolutely understands the essence of the American policy and the basic content of the American policy regarding [Russia]," he added.

Presidential Spokesman mentioned Putin’s words about the reasonability to leave business alone, "as they are interested in cooperation, interested in implementation of joint projects, making money, etc."
