Russia’s Battlegroup North UAV units destroy over 55 Ukrainian Starlink stations in May

The head of the 11th Army Corps’ UAV planning and countermeasures department, call sign "Karta" noted that the antennas were discovered during airborne reconnaissance both along the line of contact and behind enemy lines

BELGOROD, May 13. /TASS/. Since the beginning of May, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) units of Russia’s Battlegroup North’s 11th Army Corps have destroyed more than 55 Ukrainian Starlink communications and internet stations in the Kharkov Region, the head of the 11th Army Corps’ UAV planning and countermeasures department, call sign "Karta," told TASS.

"Reconnaissance and attack drone units of the Battlegroup North’s 11th Army Corps have destroyed more than 55 Ukrainian Starlink stations in the Kharkov Region since the beginning of May. The satellite system was providing the enemy units with internet connection and communications with command and control posts," he said.

He noted that the antennas were discovered during airborne reconnaissance both along the line of contact and behind enemy lines. Target data was promptly transmitted to attack drone crews, after which FPV attack drones and copters equipped with high-explosive fragmentation warheads were used to engage the stations by the specified coordinates.

"The destruction of these systems disrupted communication between the Ukrainian units and deprived the enemy of internet communication with the military command in certain areas along the line of contact," Karta added.
