All Ukrainian attempts to cross into Russia doomed, officer says

Drone crews conduct reconnaissance of enemy forces as they correct the actions of a Russian battlegroup that protects the state border, and artillery fire

MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. Russian troops are ready to repel any attempt by the Ukrainian armed forces to cross into Russia, a Russian officer with the call sign Volga said.

A drone unit under his command is tasked with protecting the Russian state border. Drone crews conduct reconnaissance of enemy forces as they correct the actions of a Russian battlegroup that protects the state border, and artillery fire.

"The enemy has repeatedly made attempts to cross the state border using subversive groups on vehicles, and they may also be crossing the border [using] UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles - TASS). <…> We can see all enemy attempts. Therefore, we inflict fire damage jointly with artillery units, preventing the enemy from conducting activity at a given sector," the officer said in a video post released on the Russian Defense Ministry’s Telegram channel.

According to him, the format of combat and reconnaissance operations has changed radically. "We have been using more of reconnaissance equipment - drones, copters, optical reconnaissance equipment and unmanned aerial vehicles," the officer specified.
