MOSCOW, December 31. /TASS/. Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 75 servicemen killed and wounded in the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian group of forces, with the support of artillery and aviation, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 118th mechanized and 82nd air assault brigades of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of the settlement of Rabotino and Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye region. The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 75 servicemen as killed and wounded, two armored combat vehicles, three pickup trucks and two D-30 howitzers," the ministry said.
