Two Tu-95MS strategic bombers fly over Bering Sea — top brass

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Two Tu-95MS strategic bombers have performed a scheduled flight over the waters of the Bering Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday.

"Two Tu-95MS strategic bombers performed a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Bering Sea," its statement said.

According to the military agency, the flight lasted over seven hours. Su-30 fighter jets of the Eastern Military District accompanied the bombers.

Russian long-range aircraft regularly perform flights over the neutral waters of the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Black and the Baltic Seas and the Pacific Ocean. All flights are performed by Russia’s Aerospace Forces in strict compliance with the international rules of using the airspace.
