ANKARA, November 10. /TASS/. Russia’s decision to draw back troops behind the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region is a positive move, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in Ankara on Thursday.
"Russia's decision is a positive decision. If [Russian President Vladimir Putin] attends the G20, we will discuss [the situation in Ukraine] with him there, if not, we will continue communicating over phone," the Turkish president told reporters when asked how he assessed the latest developments in Ukraine.
Russian troops in the Kherson Region will soon be pulled back and will take up defensive positions on the left bank of the Dnieper River. This order was given by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu on Wednesday at the suggestion of Sergey Surovikin, commander of the joint group of forces in the special military operation zone.
