Russia-led bloc says secure communication network to be deployed

During the joint meeting, the heads of the defense departments signed documents on the development of the military component of the organization, the CSTO Joint Headquarters’ press service informed

MOSCOW, September 15. /TASS/. Documents on the deployment of secure communication network within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have been signed, the CSTO Joint Headquarters’ press service announced on Wednesday.

"During the joint meeting, the heads of the defense departments signed documents on the development of the military component of the organization, developed by the CSTO Joint Staff, including those related to the equipment and composition of troop contingents, special forces formations of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, as well as the deployment of a secure multiservice communication network of the CSTO," the bloc’s press service announced.

In addition, the meeting’s participants focused on the political and military situation in the CSTO’s area of responsibility, putting the spotlight on the Central Asian region. The Armenian side informed about the priority areas of work during the CSTO chairmanship in 2022.

The meeting was attended by the heads of foreign affairs ministries, defense departments, and secretaries of the security councils of the CSTO member states, the bloc’s Secretary General Stanislav Zas and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov.
