MOSCOW, August 23. /TASS/. UK film director Danny Boyle has quit production of the new James Bond film after creative disagreements with the film’s producers. According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, the producers were unhappy with the director’s decision to focus on political tensions with Russia and a "modern-day Cold War".

The newspaper’s source suggested that the disagreements with the producers arose during the making of final decisions on casting, several weeks before filming was due to start.

On August 21, the official Twitter account of the Bond saga informed that due to creative differences, Danny Boyle decided not to direct the upcoming film.

Danny Boyle is an Oscar-winning British director, known for such films as Slumdog Millionaire and Trainspotting.

The new Bond film, entitled Bond 25, is set to premiere next year.
