VLADIVOSTOK, May 21. /TASS/. Pyongyang aims to expand cooperation with Russian universities in the light of the development of strategic relations between the two countries, visiting North Korean Vice-Minister of Education Ri Chang Sik told reporters.
"Thanks to the dynamic leadership of DPRK leader Comrade Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the friendly ties between North Korea and Russia have been evolving into a broad and strategic partnership," the senior North Korean education official said on the sidelines of the first Forum of Rectors of Russian and North Korean universities. "I hope the friendly relations between our countries continue to grow and that exchanges and cooperation between our universities become even stronger," he noted.
Currently, more than 180 North Korean students are studying at universities across Russia, said Boris Korobets, the rector of Far Eastern Federal University, which is hosting the forum on May 21.
