DUBAI, March 25. /TASS/. The United States is seeking to create division between countries in the Middle East and undermine their mutual trust, thereby serving the interests of Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, in a phone call.
"Statements and accusations from US officials being voiced to put pressure on Iran are unfounded. The friendly neighboring countries will be resistant to US attempts to sow discord and cause rift with the sole aim of disrupting the friendly relations between regional players in the interests of the Zionist regime (Israel - TASS)," the Iranian Foreign Ministry quoted Araghchi as saying on its Telegram channel.
Also, Iran’s top diplomat urged steps by everybody in the Middle East to defend their sovereignty and prevent the militaries of non-regional players from using their land to pose threats to neighbors.
On Monday, acting Israeli Ambassador to Moscow Alexander Ben Zvi told TASS in an interview that the Jewish state is ready to consider finding a military solution to Iran’s nuclear program.
Earlier, Araghchi dismissed any direct talks with the United States on the Iranian nuclear program as long as Washington uses threats, sanctions, and the maximum pressure policy against the Islamic republic. However, he said, Tehran remains open to indirect talks with Washington.
