DOHA, March 11. /TASS/. The talks between the US and Ukrainian delegations in the Saudi city of Jeddah are being held as part of the kingdom's efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis and thanks to Riyadh's balanced policy, the Foreign Ministry said as quoted by the Saudi Press Agency.
"These talks are part of the Kingdom's efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, thanks to its balanced relationships with various stakeholders and its commitment to promoting international security and peace," it said.
"This commitment stems from the Kingdom’s belief in upholding international laws and standards, with dialogue seen as the most effective way to resolve disputes and bring viewpoints closer together, ultimately strengthening international security and stability."
According to the previous statements by the negotiating parties, the topics of the meeting may include a minerals agreement and the resumption of supplies of US weapons to Ukraine. The Ukrainian delegation consists of head of Vladimir Zelensky's office Andrey Yermak, Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The US is represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.
