RABAT, March 6. /TASS/. Public buildings in and around the Syrian town of Jebla suffered damage from attacks by supporters of former Syrian President Bashar Assad, the SANA news agency reported, citing Mustafa Knefati, director of the Public Security Directorate of Latakia Province.
"Remnants of pro-Assad militias attacked government buildings, public and private properties. In and around the town of Jebla, they have ransacked and destroyed public facilities," he said.
According to Knefati, there were also attacks on checkpoints and patrols in and around Jebla, which were "premeditated and deliberate." He said the attacks caused numerous fatalities and injuries in the security forces.
