BRUSSELS, February 24. /TASS/. Strengthening of military aid to Ukraine, talks between the United States and Russia held in Riyadh and the situation in Syria will be in the focus of foreign ministers of the European Union at their meeting in Brussels.
EU foreign ministers intend to approve the 16th package of individual and economic sanctions against Russia, an EU spokesperson told reporters earlier. They will focus on the proposal of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to strengthen military aid to Ukraine.
The Ministers will also discuss the need of increasing defense expenditures and will make a decision to lift certain sanctions imposed earlier on Syria.
