IAEA’s Grossi highlights central role of Rosatom in global nuclear energy

"The IAEA as the global hub for peaceful uses of nuclear energy has a lot to discuss with Mr. Likhachev and his teams," the IAEA director general stressed

MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Rosatom is playing a central role in global nuclear energy, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said following a meeting in Moscow with the CEO of Russia’s state-owned nuclear energy corporation, Alexey Likhachev.

"There is a global interest <…> in nuclear energy, and here Rosatom has been playing an undeniably central role in this country (Russia - TASS) and in many other countries," he stated.

"The IAEA as the global hub for peaceful uses of nuclear energy has a lot to discuss with Mr. Likhachev and his teams in order to make sure that <…> nuclear energy becomes an important element in economic growth and development," the IAEA chief stressed.
