ASTANA, January 3. /TASS/. Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ruled out any speculations about the early presidential election in his country, according to the Ana tili (Native Language) newspaper.
"I had the privilege of heading the Geneva office of the United Nations for almost three years as UN Under Secretary and Secretary General of the Conference on Disarmament," he said.
"I have gained useful experience as well as an understanding of the mechanisms of global processes," he continued. "I believe this is more than enough. I have big plans for the country's development for many years to come and I intend to fulfil all of them."
Tokayev also said that there were no prerequisites as of yet for holding the parliamentary election as well.
"I believe that there are no prerequisites for early parliamentary elections," he said. "The elections will be held within the terms stipulated by the legislation."
"The government works in accordance with approved programs and plans, and it is on the gradual move towards the achievement of positive results," Tokayev added.
