BERLIN, December 16. /TASS/. The Bundestag voted at a special session to express no confidence to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, setting the stage for a snap parliamentary election.

In the vote, 394 lawmakers chose to deny confidence, while 207 opted to support the chancellor. There were 116 abstentions. Bundestag Speaker Barbel Bas said she would notify the country's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier about the outcome.
