WASHINGTON, December 13. /TASS/. The Washington administration is providing Ukraine with another $500 million military aid package that will include ammunition, armored vehicles, radiation, chemical and biological protection equipment, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.

According to him, "as part of the surge in security assistance that [US] President [Joe] Biden announced on September 26, the United States is providing another significant package of urgently needed weapons and equipment to our Ukrainian partners." The weapons will be transferred from US warehouses.

According to the top US diplomat, the package will include ammunition for HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, HARM anti-radiation missiles, drones, mine-resistant ambush-protected MRAP vehicles, HMMWV vehicles, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection equipment, AT-4, TOW and Javelin anti-armor missile systems. In addition, the Ukrainian side will receive various equipment and spare parts.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously emphasized that the delivery of new weapons to Ukraine would not change the situation on the front, but would only prolong the conflict.
