Israel ready for all-out war should Lebanon ceasefire be disrupted, PM says

"If the agreement is violated, we will proceed to an all-out war," Benjamin Netanyahu told

TEL AVIV, November 28. /TASS/. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the army to be ready for "an all-out war" should the Lebanon ceasefire be disrupted.

"I have ordered the Israel Defense Forces to prepare for an all-out war in Lebanon in case the ceasefire is disrupted. If the agreement is violated, we will proceed to an all-out war," he told Channel 14.

A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, the first one since the onset of military activities in October 2023, took effect on the morning of November 27. US President Joe Biden announced that the accord between Israel and the Hezbollah movement would allow the Lebanese army and state security forces to restore control over the country’s territory within 60 days. Israeli troops will then be gradually withdrawn from Lebanon.
