Belarusian Industry Ministry to reorient exports to Asian, African markets

MINSK, March 1. /TASS/. The Belarusian Ministry of Industry plans to refocus a quarter of deliveries to markets of Asia, Africa, South and Central America, minister Alexander Rogozhnik told reporters.

"Diversification is currently the main task set by the President, and by the government. We have completed a major effort for markets of South America, Central America. We are focusing all the efforts now on African and Asian markets. There are very good prospects in that. Prospects are very sound there," the minister said, cited by the SB. Belarus Today news outlet.

The minister expressed satisfaction with performance in 2023. "Yes, our performance was excellent last year - either in terms of production output or exports. At the same time, the Russian Federation accounted for the main specific weight of exports over 90%," he stressed.
