Switzerland supporting twelfth package of EU sanctions — government

The European Union adopted new measures against Russia on December 18

GENEVA, December 22. /TASS/. Switzerland sided with sanctions against Russia contained in the twelfth package adopted by the European Union earlier, the Federal Council - the Swiss government said.

"On December 21 the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) further expanded its sanctions listings against Russia. This brings Switzerland in line with the additional sanctions listings decided by the EU," the Council said.

The European Union adopted new measures against Russia on December 18. "In turn, on December 21 the EAER imposed sanctions within its jurisdiction on further 61 individuals and 86 entities," it added.
