Gaza doctors unable to treat wounded due to lack of medicine

Earlier, it was reported that the Kamal Awdan hospital remains the only hospital in the northern Gaza Strip that receives the sick and injured

DUBAI, December 7. /TASS/. The Kamal Awdan hospital in Jabalia in the north of the Gaza Strip is overcrowded with refugees, but doctors are unable to treat the wounded due to a lack of medicines, the Al Jazeera TV channel reported.

According to the channel, the Israeli military has cut off electricity and water to the hospital, but it is overcrowded with patients and refugees. The channel also said the staff of the medical facility is overloaded and cannot provide assistance to the wounded, some of whom are "left to die due to lack of medicine and lack of doctors."

Earlier, it was reported that the Kamal Awdan hospital remains the only hospital in the northern Gaza Strip that receives the sick and wounded. By the end of November, the medical facility had hundreds of patients, including premature babies, and thousands of refugees.

On November 22, the radical Palestinian movement Hamas announced that it had reached, with assistance from mediators Egypt and Qatar, an agreement with Israel for a four-day humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. On December 1, the Israeli army resumed fighting in the Gaza Strip, accusing Hamas of violating the ceasefire.
