Canada appoints Sarah Taylor as new ambassador to Russia — foreign minister

She replaces Alison LeClaire

OTTAWA, November 16. /TASS/. The government of Canada appointed Sarah Taylor as the country’s new ambassador to Russia, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said in a statement.

"Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the appointment of Sarah Taylor as Ambassador of Canada to the Russian Federation. She replaces Alison LeClaire," the statement says.

Joly previously worked as the country’s ambassador to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia in 2020-2023.
