WASHINGTON, November 3. /TASS/. Members of the lower chamber of the US Congress voted to support the Republican-backed bill allocating $14.3 billion for aid to Israel, which contains no mention of Ukraine.
According to live broadcast of the vote by C-SPAN, 226 members of the House of Representatives voted in favor of the bill, while 196 were against.
The top Senate Democrat, Chuck Schumer, said the Republican bill would be "dead on arrival."
Earlier, the White House warned that US President Joe Biden would veto the bill if it is adopted in its present form by both chambers of the Congress.
