WASHINGTON, October 24. /TASS/. The US sent a number of military advisors to Israel, US National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby told reporters.

"What I can tell you is that there are a few relevant military officers with experience, the kind of experience that we believe is appropriate to sorts of operations that Israel is conducting and may conduct in the future, to go over there to share some perspectives from their own experience and to ask the hard questions. The same hard questions that we have been asking our Israeli counterparts since the beginning [of their operations]," the official said, commenting on reports regarding a US general being sent to Israel

Kirby refrained from naming the exact number of advisors sent to Israel.

"A few. A few," Kirby said.
