West may conceal conclusions on Nord Stream explosions — French general

According to Dominique Trencan, the fact that the gas pipeline belongs to a Russian company indicates that the state of emergency was not beneficial to Russia

PARIS, March 4. /TASS/. Absence of any conclusions from three Western investigations of explosions at Nord Stream pipelines may evidence the deliberate suppression of their findings, General Dominique Trinquand, the ex-head of the French military mission under the UN, said on the air with the LCI TV Channel.

"We do not have complete information in hand. I am impressed that there are German, Swedish and Danish investigations, with plenty of data already gathered within their framework. Nevertheless, there are no conclusions. If they are not present, then probably there are conclusions in place they do not want to make public," Trinquand said.

"The question should be asked, who benefited from this crime? The fact that that the gas pipeline belongs to a Russian company shows a priori that Russia would not benefit from the explosion," the General said. He noted " having the high quality and detailed" investigation by US journalist Seymour Hersh, who had laid the blame on the US for organizing these explosions, and said his version was trustworthy.

"I believe the version presented is absolutely trustworthy," Trinquand noted. "This is not merely reliable but also checked - everyone can do this at present," the General informed, noting the opportunity for tracking aircraft and marine vessels.

If Russia had been involved in that, Germany, Denmark and Sweden would definitely find that during their investigations, the expert said. "They would have found evidence that Russians did it. Whereas they cannot prove it, there is a need to search in a different direction," he added.
