Lithuania to hand over 36 Bofors L70 autocannons to Ukraine — minister

Lithuania has already completed the training of 15 instructors, who will be ready to work on the territory of Ukraine, the Baltic country’s Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas said

KIEV, February 10. /TASS/. Lithuania has started supplying the armed forces of Ukraine with Bofors L70 multi-purpose weapons of Swedish origin, the Baltic country’s Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas has said.

"We have already completed the training of 15 instructors, who will be ready to work on the territory of Ukraine. And we are providing 36 systems, which can successfully fight against drones," he said at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov.

Bofors L70 was designed in late 1940s by Swedish arms maker Bofors. First Bofors L70 autocannons entered service in 1952.
