Armenian PM discusses blockade of Lachin corridor with Putin — Armenian cabinet

YEREVAN, January 31. /TASS/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke over the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss issues related to the blocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan and the activities of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, the press service of the Armenian cabinet reported on Tuesday.

"Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh caused by the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of Russia’s steps to overcome it. In this context, he mentioned the activities of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh," it said.

The leaders discussed the implementation of the trilateral agreements signed by the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders on November 9, 2020, January 11, 2022, November 26, 2022, and October 31, 2022. They also exchanged views on other issues on the Armenian-Russian cooperation agenda.
