Death toll from Peshawar mosque blast climbs to 95 — TV

It is noted that 221 people are injured

ISLAMABAD, January 31. /TASS/. The death toll from Monday’s mosque explosion in Pakistan’s Peshawar has reached 95, Geo TV reported on Tuesday.

Earlier, Pakistan’s state radio reported that the mosque blast had killed 90 people.

According to first responders, the rescue operation is over. The number of those killed has reached 95 with 221 injured.

According to local security services, a suicide bomber set off an explosive device during a noon prayer in the crowded mosque. Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP, outlawed in Pakistan and linked with the Taliban movement, which is banned in Russia) took responsibility for the blast.
