Moscow Format participants support unfreezing of Afghan assets — Taliban representative

MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. All participants of the Moscow Format talks on Afghanistan supported the unfreezing of Afghan assets, Taliban (outlawed in Russia) diplomat Zakir Jalali said Wednesday.

"This was a very good meeting; it took place in a very positive atmosphere. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan [Taliban’s name for the republic] praises and welcomes this initiative of the Russian side. All participants supported the unfreezing of the Afghan Central Bank assets that belong to the people of Afghanistan and must not be tied to political affairs," he said.
