“After February 25, I am returning to the Israeli clinic where I was operated,” Plushenko said. “I will undergo medical examination. I have told it to no one but I have been having problems with my back for the past year and had to take pain-killers. I hope no more surgery will be needed but I, judging by what is going on, I will have to undergo a medical examination and a treatment course.”
He also said that his farewell tour would be postponed till a later date. “As for the scheduled shows, the most important thing for me now is to repair my health,” he said. “We are not cancelling the shows. I will do them. But they will be simply postponed. As soon as I am well again, I will perform."
