Russian luger Albert Demchenko wins Olympic silver in men’s singles

This is Russsia's fourth medal at 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics

SOCHI, February 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian luger Alber Demchenko has won the silver medal in men’s singles, yielding to Felix Loch of Germany. Armin Zoeggeler of Italy won the blonze medal.

Other Russian lugers also demonstrated good results. Thus, Semen Pavlichenko took the fifth position, and Alexander Peretyagin was seventh.

Demchenko brought a fourth medal to the Russian Olympic team. Earlier on Sunday, Russian figure skaters won the Olympic gold at team skating competitions, Russian speed skater Olga Graf won the bronze medal in ladies’ 3000 meter race and biathlete Olga Vilukhina won the silver medal in women’s sprint.
