MILAN, February 10. /TASS/. The arena announcer in Milan introduced figure skater Petr Gumennik as Russia’s champion before his short program in the men’s singles competition at the Olympic Games, a TASS correspondent reported from the scene.

Gumennik, 23, is the reigning champion of Russia. At the Milan Olympics, Russian athletes are competing under a neutral flag and are prohibited from displaying any connection to their country.

Gumennik received 86.72 points for his performance.
