Pole vaulter Sidorova wins Russian Indoor Athletics Championship

The athlete is now an eight-time champion of the event

MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Russian pole vaulter Anzhelika Sidorova won on Monday the Russian Indoor Athletics Championship, held in Moscow between February 15 and 17, for the eighth time in a row.

The 29-year-old athlete cleared the height of 4.75 meters to take the gold. Polina Knoroz won the silver with the result of 4.65 meters and the bronze went to Olga Mullina (4.55 meters).

Sidorova is now an eight-time champion of the Russian Indoor Athletics Championships (2014-2021).

The pole vaulter is the reigning world champion in addition to winning one European Athletics Championship and two European Indoor Athletics Championships.
