Today’s temps in Moscow warmest since 1995 — meteorologist

Leading meteorologist at the Fobos weather center Mikhail Leus said that temperatures could rise even higher in the coming days

MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. The air temperature in Moscow reached 23.3 degrees Celsius (73.94 Fahrenheit) this afternoon, matching the record set in 1995, Mikhail Leus, a leading meteorologist at the Fobos weather center, said on his Telegram channel.

"According to the city weather station at VDNKh, the temperature rose to plus 23.3 degrees Celsius by 3 pm, thus tying the daily record high set in 1995," Leus noted.

The forecaster added that temperatures could rise even higher in the coming days, breaking records.
