NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 11. /TASS/. The prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into a conflict that occurred at a school in Nizhny Novgorod’s Sormovsky district, where a student attacked his classmates with a knife, the agency’s Telegram channel reported.

Two children have been hospitalized. The suspect has been detained.

Incident details

- According to preliminary information, a conflict occurred between eighth-grade students at School Number 117.

- The student inflicted stab and slash wounds on the two teenagers

Injured individuals

- Two children have been hospitalized. Their lives are not in danger.

- Medical professionals have promptly provided the injured children with assistance, Nizhny Novgorod’s Children’s Rights Commissioner Margarita Ushakova told TASS.

Investigation

- The police are currently on-site. The officers are engaged in questioning the participants and witnesses of the incident.

- The suspected attacker has been taken into custody. In the near future, he will take part in the necessary investigative activities and will be given the appropriate punishment.

- A criminal case has been opened.

- The prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the conflict. Mikhail Kuznetsov, the Sormovsky district prosecutor, has arrived at the school.

- Experts will check the children’s learning conditions and evaluate the compliance with the laws on the prevention of child neglect.
