Selidovo residents systematically executed by Ukrainian military before retreat

Rodion Miroshnik noted that punitive teams were seen in the town, whose members were dressed in camouflage but did not have any military insignia

MOSCOW, December 17. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military started to deliberately gun down civilians in Selidovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) about a week before retreating from the town, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large, said.

"In this city, a number of organizations - the ‘White Angels’ and other teams from Ukrainian special units, among others - were spotted during mass forced evacuations forcibly taking children away, after which they turned their attention to other residents, coercing and threatening them, demanding that they immediately leave the town as the Ukrainian army was retreating. About a week or several days before [the retreat was over], they essentially declared ‘there are no more of our people here.’ That's when the executions began," Miroshnik said during the presentation of a report titled "Mass Shootings of Civilians in Selidovo by the Ukrainian Armed Forces," prepared by the International Public Tribunal on the Crimes Committed by Ukrainian Neo-Nazis and held in Moscow.

The diplomat added that punitive teams were seen in the town, whose members were dressed in camouflage but did not have any military insignia. They used blue and green ribbons for identification purposes.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the liberation of Selidovo on October 29.
