WASHINGTON, December 4. /TASS/. The US State Department has imposed visa restrictions on five Russian officials for human rights violations in Ukraine, attributed to them by the West, including the alleged deportation of Ukrainian children, a spokesman for the department, Matthew Miller, said in a statement.

According to US laws, the State Department is not authorized to disclose the list of individuals affected by the visa restrictions.

On March 17 of last year, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and the presidential commissioner for children's rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, on charges of illegally deporting Ukrainian children. According to Putin, Russian authorities removed the children from the conflict zone entirely legally, saving their lives and health, and never opposed their reunification with their families.
