Rosatom CEO highly assesses Grossi’s work as IAEA chief

Alexey Likhachev pledged that IAEA can fully count on Russia’s support and cooperation

VIENNA, September 25. /TASS/. Director General of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev has highly assessed the work of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi.

"We positively assess the IAEA’s work under Mr. Grossi’s leadership in this difficult time. We hope that his expertise and professionalism will help the IAEA stay within its mandate, despite some countries’ attempts to politicize the agency’s work. The IAEA can fully count on our support and cooperation," he said at the 67th annual session of the agency’s General Conference.

He pledged that IAEA can fully count on Russia’s support and cooperation. "We will continue financing the agency’s large-scale projects," he stressed, adding that Russian experts will continue participating in IAEA events and taking part in its activities.
