Russian embassy in Beijing seeing increase in Chinese visa applications

It is noted that in just under a month, 1,200 visas have been issued, while the figure for all of last year amounted to just 582

BEIJING, January 26. /TASS/. The Russian embassy in China is seeing an uptick in demand for all types of Russian visas among Chinese citizens.

"Relaxed anti-pandemic measures in China means that the number of visas issued by Russian diplomatic offices has been gradually returning to pre-pandemic levels," the embassy said on Thursday.

According to the diplomatic mission, "Since early this year, there has been an increase in visa applications from Chinese nationals, including for tourism. For comparison: in just under a month, 1,200 visas have been issued, while the figure for all of last year amounted to just 582."
