MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. The head of Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolayev presented the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov with the Insignia of the Civil Valor of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The awarding ceremony took place during a presentation of the economic, investment and tourism potential of the region, held at the cultural center of the Main Production and Commercial Administration for Services to the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
For his outstanding contribution to strengthening peace and friendship, and remarkable civil service, to award the decoration "Civil Valor" to Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Knight of the Order of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) "Polar Star"," reads the decree of the Yakutian leader during the awarding.
In 2012, the then head of the region Yegor Borisov presented Mr. Lavrov with the highest award of Yakutia - the Order of the Polar Star, which is awarded for the contribution to strengthening friendship, international harmony and development of international and foreign economic relations.
The Civilian Civilian award for Valor was approved in 2003. It is awarded to citizens for many years of selfless labor, fruitful creative and active social activities aimed at socio-economic development and strengthening the statehood of the republic, the achievement of outstanding labor and creative successes in the sectors of national economy, science, culture and art, health, education and other areas of work, preserving multinational peace and harmony between peoples.
