The statement on behalf of the Jerusalem Patriarchate was made by Theodosios, the archbishop of Sebastia, according to the Moscow Patriarchate

MOSCOW, June 21. /TASS/. The Moscow Patriarchate on Monday said the Jerusalem Patriarchate stated that accusations from Western countries against Russian Patriarch Kirill were false and urged to stop them.

The statement on behalf of the Jerusalem Patriarchate was made by Theodosios, the archbishop of Sebastia, according to the Moscow Patriarchate.

"We are strongly against any provocations that are made by some Western forces regarding Russian Patriarch Kirill," Theodosios was cited as saying to British reporters. "Accusations against Patriarch Kirill are false and groundless. I’d like to stress again that His Holiness has always urged the sides to make peace, reject wars and violence."

"We are now calling on everyone who is engaged in provocations against Patriarch Kirill in the West to reject their aggressive position not only regarding His Holiness, but also the entire Orthodox Church," the archbishop was cited as saying.
