Russian communication providers started blocking the Russian-language service website

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Access to The Moscow Times website has been blocked in Russia under demand from the Prosecutor General’s Office, the news website announced Friday.

"Russian communication providers started blocking the Russian-language service website. At the moment of writing, the website is no longer available to subscribers of Rostelecom, regional providers, as well as some subscribers of MTS, Beeline, Dom.ru and other providers. […] The editorial staff have not received any notification from state authorities yet," the statement reads.

According to the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) database, one page of The Moscow Times website was blocked under order of the Prosecutor General’s Office. TASS sent an inquiry to the agency.
