Ukraine attacks Kursk Region with artillery 82 times over past 24 hours

There were no fatalities or injuries

KURSK, May 27. /TASS/. Russia’s air defenses have shot down 51 Ukrainian drones in the Kursk Region over the past 24 hours, and the Ukrainian armed forces fired artillery on the region’s evacuated areas 82 times, with no fatalities or injuries, Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported.

"Between 9:00 a.m. Moscow time on May 25 and 9:00 a.m. Moscow time (6:00 a.m. GMT) on May 26, a total of 51 enemy drones of various types were shot down. The enemy fired artillery on evacuated areas 82 times. Drones attacked our territory by dropping explosives seven times. <...> There were no fatalities or injuries," the governor wrote on his Max channel.

Khinshtein added that the facade and windows of an inactive gas filling station in Rylsk were damaged in the attack. "As a result of the attacks in the Krupets settlement in the Rylsky district, a fire broke out on the roof of a defunct school. The building housing a library and a store was attacked twice. The fire damaged the roof, facade, and glazing of two unoccupied buildings, and completely destroyed another," the Kursk Region governor reported.
