Putin calls for more active use of AI on battlefield

This technology gives great advantage on the battlefield, the head of state noted

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Artificial intelligence (AI) provides for greater advantage on the battlefield and Russia must make use of it, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission.

"It is necessary to activate the production and use of protected domestic software and developments in the sphere of artificial intelligence in order to use them in comprehensive automated military management systems. We all talks about artificial intelligence - this is fashionable, not a single meeting in any sphere goes without it but you have to realize, and everyone does, that the possibilities of using artificial intelligence are enormous. And whoever masters these technologies first, in this case, in combat, will have greater advantages on the battlefield. We should always remember this," the Russian leader emphasized.

Putin added that Russia also has other ideas and projects. "We will talk about this separately," he explained.

The president urged the participants of the meeting to pay adequate attention to the promising innovations of Russian research centers and design bureaus.
