Second Russia-Africa foreign ministers' meeting scheduled for autumn — MFA

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. The second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum will be held in the autumn of 2025, Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said at the opening ceremony of the 4th Forum Russia-Africa: What's Next? and the 1st Forum of Young Diplomats.

"We anticipate that today's event at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) will give a new impetus to strengthening Russian-African youth cooperation and thus contribute to the preparation of the next second Russia-Africa Foreign Ministers forum this fall. We are currently preparing it, as well as the third Russia-Africa summit, which is scheduled for the following year," Bogdanov said.

The diplomat also highlighted the potential of organizing a Youth Day within the framework of these meetings, calling the initiative promising. He added that the Russian Foreign Ministry supports the launch of the Russia-Africa Young Diplomats Forum, held for the first time.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum will take place in one of the African countries in 2025, while the third Russia-Africa summit is planned for 2026.
