Russian army begins fighting for Volnoye Pole near DPR-Zaporozhye border — politician

Vladimir Rogov earlier told TASS that the Russian army had driven Ukrainian forces out of the DPR’s settlement of Privonloye on February 28

MELITOPOL, March 17. /TASS/. Russian forces have taken control of the eastern part of the settlement of Volnoye Pole located near the border between the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Zaporozhye Region, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of a Russian Civic Chamber committee, told TASS.

"Our troops pushed forward from Privolnoye to Volnoye Pole, entering from the village’s outskirts, and now having firm control over the eastern part of the settlement, with the initiative in our hands," he said.

The politician earlier told TASS that the Russian army had driven Ukrainian forces out of the DPR’s settlement of Privonloye on February 28.
