Russia gave OSCE chief proof organization provided data to Ukrainian forces, Lavrov says

"Of course, Mr. Sinirlioglu's predecessors, who were in charge of the special monitoring mission, grossly violated their obligations, overstepped their authority, made the staff work in a nontransparent manner, and a number of staff members simply assisted one of the opposing sides in gross violation of their mandate," the top Russian diplomat said

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Secretary-General Feridun Sinirlioglu was provided with evidence showing that an OSCE mission transferred military information to Ukrainian forces.

"We have discussed this issue. We have provided concrete facts," he said following talks with Sinirlioglu in Moscow.

"It is not that everything here became the subject of public discussions after the statement from the former Greek ambassador to Ukraine. These facts were known before," Lavrov went on to say. "And we referred to them today when we were informally discussing the possible involvement of the OSCE or the possible role of the OSCE in further actions about the Ukrainian conflict."

"Of course, Mr. Sinirlioglu's predecessors, who were in charge of the special monitoring mission, grossly violated their obligations, overstepped their authority, made the staff work in a nontransparent manner, and a number of staff members simply assisted one of the opposing sides in gross violation of their mandate," he continued.

Earlier, in an interview with the Hellas Journal news website, former Greek ambassador to Kiev Vasilios Bornovas said that observers from the OSCE mission in the Donetsk People’s Republic furtively passed classified information to Ukrainian forces about the locations of formations in the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic, and these locations were then immediately shelled by Ukraine.
